Kayak.com - Cheap Airfare & Travel Needs

Aim Higher with Kayak.com. I have used this site to get good deals on airfare and car rental. Easy and inexpensive. You can avoid the surcharges imposed by Orbitz as you are linked directly to the the business site of the airline. I've been quite impressed with this site.

She Really Went Low

I have nothing in particular against Connie Chung, but YIKES...now here's a gal that hit low! The National Broadcasting Company actually allowed this on one of to go out with their blessing. Listening to two cats howling in the middle of the night is not this painful.

Travel Blogging: Munich

New Google products keep rolling out and Picasa is among the handiest. A new Linux version has just appeared, and I thought I would post one of my favorite images...the last night of Oktoberfest 2002. Picasa has easy image processing software to fix as well as catalogue your images. Picasa definately allows you to Aim Higher! Posted by Picasa

Product Recommendation: Firefox

In the past couple of years, I have developed a fair bit of amateur knowledge of computers and IT. For those who Aim High, please download and try Firefox for your personal web browser needs. Tabbed browsing alone is worth the download, but Firefox has better security (pop-up blocking, rapid and automatic updates) than Windows Explorer and allows you to add "Extensions" to enhance functionality. For example, I've got the Foxy Tunes extension, which links to an mp3 player on my computer. I can control the music right in Firefox without shifting to another application. There also an extension to allow me to email text to my cell phone. A listing of very useful extensions is here.

I am looking forward to checking out the Opera web browser in the future, but that's another post.

Gotta start somewhere!

Since I enjoy writing and want to be able to share my experiences with an audience, ANY AUDIENCE, it's probably time to learn the ins and outs of blogging.....perhaps the easiest way for family and friends to keep track of me. Looks like there are lots of changes in the offing. We'll start small and get complicated later.
